Stephanie Holmes, RYT
Yoga Program Manager
As Yoga Program Manager Stephanie Holmes manages and coordinates youth yoga and caregiver yoga programming on the ground in Grenada at three group residential homes. As part of her role in the caregiver yoga program she teaches the weekly classes for stress management. Steph is a 200-hour Yoga Alliance trained Vinyasa instructor and a Karma Kids Yoga instructor. She brings with her over 20 years of experience in fitness as a personal trainer and group exercise facilitator.
Lauren Orlando
Youth Yoga Program Facilitator
Lauren teaches yoga to children between the ages of 2 and 20 years old who reside at the Bel Air Home for Children and Adolescents. As part of her role as facilitator she teaches alongside care home staff, transfers skills and coaches them on how to incorporate best practice teaching methods. She also creates policies and procedures with group home management to build capacity and to ensure program sustainability. Lauren lived in Grenada for three years working as a US Peace Corps Volunteer mainly at The Bel Air Home. Lauren has a Bachelors of Arts in International Studies from DePaul University in Illinois and a Master’s of Science in Human Rights and Development Studies from University College of Dublin, Ireland.
Katie Moran
Yoga Program Coordinator
Katie Moran, our newest Youth Yoga Instructor, joined us in 2011. Trained in Karma Kids Yoga, she teaches yoga classes to children between the ages of 2 and 20 years old at the Bel Air Home. Through her background in education and her work in the US Peace Corps she is able to effectively teach the benefits of yoga to children and teens in the spirit of service to others.
Kathy Jackson
Yoga Program Coordinator
Kathy Jackson is REACH Grenada's Youth Yoga Coordinator at Queen Elizabeth Home (QEH). Trained in Karma Kids Yoga, Kathy teaches yoga classes to 20 children between the ages of 2 and 11 at QEH. Her background in speech and language therapy and her current work at a local daycare make her a perfect fit for working with the children at QEH.
Lorna Douglas
Mentor Program Coordinator
Lorna Douglas has been working with REACH Grenada since 2008. She currently supervises and manages REACH Grenada’s Buddy Mentoring Program at the Queen Elizabeth Home. Prior to this role, Lorna worked under the direction of Elaine Moreton, our Education Consultant/Advisor as our liaison officer responsible for implementing education programs in St. Andrew’s Parish.
Hazel Da Breo Ph.D
Psychotherapist for QEH
Dr. Da Breo has been working with REACH Grenada since 2010 with the design of treatment plans and delivery of therapeutic services for the children of the Queen Elizabeth Home. Hazel Da Breo Ph.D is a Canadian Psychotherapist of Grenadian origin. Hazel is a senior consultant to the United Nations (UN Women) and to PAHO/PHCO. In Grenada, Hazel works with the Child Protection Authority and the Legal Aid and Counseling Clinic.
